1. About us

Food Hygiene Certificate is a trading name of Online CPD Academy. When you purchase a course through this website you are entering into a contract with Online CPD Academy.

If you need to contact us, you can reach us by:

2. Courses & accreditation

Our courses are RoSPA accredited and CPD certified. Each course consists of online learning modules followed by an end-of-course assessment. On successfully passing the assessment, a certificate is issued to you confirming that you have completed the training to the required standard.

Our certificates are widely accepted by Environmental Health Officers, local authorities and employers across the UK as evidence of food hygiene training. However, we cannot guarantee acceptance in every circumstance — always check with the relevant authority or employer if you are unsure.

3. Prices & payment

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP). The price you see at the point of purchase is the price you will pay.

Payment is processed securely via our checkout provider. We accept all major credit and debit cards. We do not store your card details — see our Privacy Policy for more information.

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, but any change will not affect orders that have already been placed and confirmed.

4. Access & delivery

All courses are delivered entirely online. Once your payment is confirmed you will receive immediate access to your course materials via email.

  • You can start, pause, and resume your course at any time.
  • There is no completion deadline — access does not expire.
  • Courses can be accessed on any modern web browser and most devices, including smartphones and tablets.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have a suitable internet connection and compatible device.

5. Refunds & cancellations

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel a purchase within 14 days of the date of purchase, provided you have not yet started the course. To exercise this right, please contact us at info@foodhygienecertificate.co.uk within that 14-day period.

By starting the course you acknowledge that you are waiving your right to cancel and requesting that we begin supplying the digital content to you immediately.

Once a course has been started, no refund will be given except where we are in breach of these terms or where required to do so by law.

If you have any concerns about a purchase, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

6. Certificates

On passing the end-of-course assessment, you will be able to download an instant printable PDF certificate from your account dashboard. This is usually available within 30 seconds of passing.

If you need a reprint of your certificate, you can download it again at any time by logging into your account. If you have difficulty accessing your account, please contact us and we will assist you.

7. Bulk & team orders

We offer reduced pricing for organisations purchasing 10 or more licences. Licences can be assigned to individual learners from your account dashboard.

  • Unassigned licences can be reassigned to a different learner before the original learner has started the course.
  • We can issue invoices for bulk orders — please contact us to arrange this before placing your order.
  • For large team orders, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

8. Acceptable use & accounts

When you purchase a course, you may be asked to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that takes place under your account.

Each licence entitles one individual to complete the course. You must not share your login credentials or allow another person to complete your course assessment on your behalf. Certificates issued as a result of such misuse are invalid.

You must not copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from our course content without our express written permission.

9. Liability

Our courses are designed to provide educational training to assist you and your staff in understanding food hygiene principles and good practice. They do not replace the legal duties of food business operators under the Food Safety Act 1990, Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 on the hygiene of foodstuffs, or any other applicable legislation. It remains the responsibility of each employer and food business to ensure compliance with all relevant food safety laws.

We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our courses or certificates. Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that order.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

These terms were last updated on 14 June 2026. We may update them from time to time; the current version will always be available on this page.
