What is the Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate?

The Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate is an advanced, supervising-level food safety course for managers, supervisors and team leaders in the food industry. It develops the knowledge to lead on food safety, implement and manage a HACCP-based food safety management system, prevent contamination and ensure compliance with food hygiene legislation.

Developed in line with the Food Safety Act 1990 and Food Standards Agency (FSA) guidance, it’s ideal for food business operators, catering and restaurant managers, head chefs, food safety supervisors and compliance officers — across catering, hospitality, retail, food manufacturing, care, education and beyond.

Studied entirely online and at your own pace on any device, you’ll receive an instant, downloadable certificate the moment you pass. It works equally well as induction training for new supervisors or as a refresher for experienced managers, with no prior knowledge required.
