Terms and Conditions for Online Course Sales and Access
By registering for, purchasing, or accessing any of our eLearning programmes, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not continue with your registration or use our training services.
Your continued use of our dashboard or any course platform indicates your acceptance of these terms in full.
Should these terms be revised at any point, you must stop using your account and course access immediately if you no longer agree with them.
Key Definitions
- “We”, “Us”, or “Our” refers to Training Developments Scotland Limited T/A Food Hygiene Certificate.
- “You”, “Customer” refers to any individual or organisation purchasing or using our eLearning services.
- “Purchaser” means anyone who buys one or more of our online courses, whether for personal use or on behalf of others.
- “Coordinator” refers to the person designated by the Purchaser to manage course enrolments and certificate handling.
- “Student” refers to the individual taking the eLearning course.

Course Access & Intellectual Property
- Use of our website, dashboard, and course content must comply with legal standards and ethical conduct. This includes avoiding cheating, plagiarism, or any misconduct as outlined in our Malpractice and Plagiarism Policy.
- Customers receive a non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use our eLearning platform and content for personal or organisational use only.
- Purchasers must nominate a Coordinator to manage student enrolments and course distribution.
- All users must comply with these terms; Coordinators are responsible for ensuring Students understand and follow them.
- Login credentials and access details will be provided to the Coordinator, who must securely share them with Students.
- All course content, including text, video, images, and assessments, is the intellectual property of Training Developments Scotland Ltd and must not be reproduced, distributed, or altered without permission.
- Resale, sublicensing, or external delivery of our course content is strictly forbidden.
- Attempting to copy, reverse engineer, or repurpose any part of the platform or courses is a violation and may result in legal action.
- Access to the system may require specific browser compatibility or whitelisting of email addresses (e.g., info@skillstg.co.uk).
- We do not guarantee practical competency as a result of course completion.
- Course formats, availability, and the dashboard may be updated or withdrawn at our discretion.
- Where necessary, course details may be shared with accrediting bodies to maintain certification standards.
- We may request proof of identity to meet the requirements of accreditation bodies; failure to comply may result in course termination.
Payments
We accept payments via:
- Credit or debit card (online or by phone)
- Bank transfer (in response to invoice)
- Cheque (in response to invoice)
All card transactions are processed securely. Course access will only be granted once full payment has been received.
Delivery Process
Once payment is confirmed, an email with instructions on how to access the course platform will be sent. If not received, please check your junk/spam folder or email us at info@skillstg.co.uk.
The Coordinator will be able to assign Students to the courses via our dashboard. Students will then receive their login credentials.
Access Duration
Dashboard Access:
- Dashboard access begins upon purchase and may be withdrawn if unused for 12 months or at our discretion.
Course Access:
- Course availability begins from the moment a Student is enrolled.
- Students have up to 190 days to complete their course.
- Courses not allocated within 12 months will expire.
- If a course expires or assessments are not passed within 2 attempts, a re-registration fee of £40+VAT applies.
Managing Accounts
- Access may be revoked without refund if these terms are violated.
- Login details must not be shared with unauthorised users.
- Only Coordinators or Purchasers can request account changes.
- Student logins cannot be transferred once the course has been accessed.
- All change requests must be sent to info@skillstg.co.uk and will be handled within 48 hours.
Refund Policy
Refunds are available only if the course has not been accessed and must be requested within 14 calendar days of purchase. Requests should be sent by email and must include:
- Order ID
- Full Name
- Email & Phone Number
- Billing Address
- Purchase Receipt
If a refund is approved, the user must delete all related course materials, both digital and printed.
Invoices and Receipts
Purchase receipts are emailed upon transaction. If incorrect information appears on your receipt, notify us within 48 hours to amend it.

Liability Disclaimer
We make no additional warranties regarding the use or performance of our course materials beyond what is legally required. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or business-related losses. Our maximum liability is limited to the purchase price paid, unless otherwise covered by our professional indemnity insurance.
